After spending hours doing your research about coloring your hair, you finally took that BIG decision. You’ve got some Paradyes semi-permanent hair colors. You’re all set to give yourself a DIY hair makeover. And you know what? We’re totally here to see the new you! But, here comes the most asked question, how do you retain that gorgeous hair color?
Team Paradyes and Parafam have been coloring their hair for what seems like an eternity now. And if there’s one thing that we could share with you about post-color care, it would be to not change anything except the products that you use. Exactly, all you need to do is be consistent with your existing hair care routine.
What happens when you color your hair?
Bleaching might make your hair feel frizzy and dry. Take our word for it, this damage is reversible if you take care of your hair post coloring. You need not worry about applying Paradyes hair colors though. They are conditioner-based and enriched with herbal ingredients to provide your hair with both, color and care! Isn’t that cool? You can read more about how to make your hair color last longer and how to take care of your colored hair over here.
A Simple Hair Care Routine:
Disclaimer: Hair care routines are subjective. We are only suggesting a basic hair care routine that you can try following post-coloring your hair.
Step 1: Use a DIY hair mask
Mix Coconut Oil with Olive Oil in a 1:1 ratio and apply it to your scalp and hair for 30 minutes before washing your hair. FYI oiling your hair will cause it to fade faster. But, that just gives you an opportunity to apply a new hair color ASAP! Nonetheless, you can try any other hair care mask that does not have oil as an ingredient. The idea here is to moisturize your hair before washing them.
Step 2: Use a Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner
Silicone and sulphate-free products are the best ones for colored hair and non-colored hair as well. They ensure that the nutrients remain intact and don’t strip your hair of the natural pigments that are essential for good hair health. They also protect your hair color from bleeding. If you’ve got cool colored hair then you can use the Paradyes Fine Tone Toning shampoo like you would use any other regular shampoo to wash your hair.
Pssst… We’ve got something super cool coming soon, until then, you can use the Paradyes Color Care Conditioner that will leave your hair feeling soft, tangle-free, frizz-free, and shiny ofc!
Step 3: Use a Hair Serum
Post-washing your hair, ensure that you use a t-shirt to dry them as the fibers of a regular towel will cause hair damage. Followed by a hair serum that works best for your hair. You can look for a serum that provides moisture and adds a protective layer to your hair. Use a leave-in serum and re-apply it twice or thrice in a day depending on your hair quality.
Step 4: Repeat the above twice a week!
This is by far, the most important step. Doing the above procedure once will not reap the benefits immediately. You have to be consistent in order to get the results. Follow this routine for about 2 months, keep changing the hair mask that you use if you want to have some fun, and just enjoy the process!
